Need Knows No Season / Feed Your Compassion!

With the daily bad news of the economy it’s easy to tightenul your wallet and feel sorry for yourself.  But the truth of the matter is that even with job losses and tough times, we’re more wealthy and more fortunate than so many.  You don’t even have to look very far to see it in your [...]

Cruising for the Cure

Sorry I’ve been somewhat “absent” the past week.  We went on vacation and that meant from this little blog, too… for part of the trip, anyway!  More on our trip later, but I have something on my mind tonight that I just really wanted to share.

This is the Thanksgiving weekend tradition [...]

Charitable Shopping for the Holidays May Start @ Home

Have you been getting bombarded with charity calls lately?    I just got off the phone with another one.  While we don’t do any of that over the phone for security reasons, it did get me thinking about a topic that’s near to my heart.
Now that my kids are growing out of certain clothes and toys [...]

T-23 Days to Christmas Shopping

With Halloween done and over, ’tis the season (or it will be soon!) to think about year end charitable giving.  Thanksgiving (which is just 22 days away) may not even be on your radar, but if charitable giving is part of your Christmas tradition, you’ve likely already started thinking about it.
Recently, I noticed a local story [...]
