Burning gas - and cash!

A word to the wise…
I stopped at the shell station today across from Hawks Stadium on Glenwood and they cut you off at $75 on your credit card!  I had to reswipe to finish filling the tank.
It was a little annoying…  I know Fred Meyer’s does this at a certain amount (I think $50) but usually it’s posted.

Company Coming?

If you are like us, you might be having guests coming in from out of town.  We are still working on our FUN LIST for the weekend, but here are a few things earning top consideration:
Thursday night: dinner…  Not sure on this one, if I don’t decide to turn my guests into guinea pigs on [...]

I Love a Parade!

One of my favorite events - that I never seem to make it out for - is a parade!  I suppose I don’t get there as much anymore because parades just aren’t what they used to be.  One of the best parts of a parade (besides free candy!) is the music.  You know, the youth marching [...]

Fireworks and such…

Last night, my dear husband and I were laying in bed and heard a loud pop.  You guessed it…some idiot was letting off fire crackers…in the foothills…during a wind storm!  How totally asinine!  Moments later, we heard/saw the fire truck barreling down the road.  Little did we  know there were actually two brush fires in Hidden Springs [...]

A Midday in Eagle

I escaped on Friday…
From the house…
BY MYSELF!
Destination? Eagle, Idaho.  A girlfriend and I were celebrating birthdays and decided a super cheap pedicure was in order … and lunch, too.
We decided to try this place called Rosy Nails and made an appointment ahead of time.  The pedicure was not too bad.  It was definately not about [...]

Planning to go out for pizza tonight?  You can take Round Table of your list of options.  The Statesman is reporting that the company closed all seven locations in Boise overnight…with no word to employees who showed up for work today and were told via a note on the door that “their employment had been [...]

A Staycation - at HOME!

I had no idea the buzz out on the Internet in travel circles about this word.  STAYCATION
The more I read, the more I like.  With the high price of gas, it’s becoming a hugely popular idea.  So, in the spirit of saving gas, this post is all about a staycation AT HOME.  Here are some ideas - some [...]

A Summertime Rant…

What was your summer like as a child?  Hmmm…  I remember lots of lazy days, most moms were home, playing in the mud, jumping on the trampoline, swimming, riding our bikes to the Ustick Merc to buy candy and play Centipede (back when it was still the Ustick Merc!) and getting into trouble…but not so [...]
